RadRunner Plus 35a controller settings?

I'm ready to pull the trigger on the 35a controller and KT-LCD8H (from Electro Bike World) for my stock RR+, but am curious about two things:
  1. Are these the same parts that Bolton sells? I'd prefer to buy from Bolton, as they have great videos and customer service, but their parts are out of stock and they don't seem to know when stock will be replenished.
  2. I can't seem to find a list of the correct settings for an otherwise stock RadRunner Plus. Will they be the same as for a RadRunner 1? I'm particularly concerned about the settings for P1 and P2.
Thanks. I'm kind of a newb, so apologies if this info is readily available someplace and I just didn't see it!

They are NOT the same components sold by Bolton. His stuff will have the right connectors that will allow a plug and play install. Using KT found elsewhere (that does not come with directions!) will often lead to a little head scratching and possibly some soldering. Not hard if you are OK at electrical (not necessarily electronic) DIY.

P1 is usually 46 on a geared hub, and P2 you ca usually leave at 0.

Wow, really?? That's too bad. The images on each website make them look exactly the same. 🤷‍♂️

I missed the part regarding this was a kit from Electro Bike World. I was thinking generic KT stuff available from a thousand other sources (that may not be set up for lights at all!). Many apologies!

Nice catch Timpo. -Al

Ohh okay.

Yeah you showed us a link to PSW Power fore.
I think it's a good option if you're on budget 😁

But yeah, Bolton and Electro Bike World for easy plug and play.
Easy plug and play for a RAD and a couple others, but pretty much way over priced if you are working on anything else. Nice though, conversions are getting easier using generic KT kits, now that the industry is moving to the waterproof (WP) connectors. You still need to be pretty careful though (to get the correct connectors). You've heard me mention the 3 Espin bikes we've purchased recently - all 3 of those have been converted to KT power now. Getting pretty good at it. I'm now getting them from Amazon. I mention that because PSW Power isn't really keeping up on the new stuff. For instance, they don't offer the KT-22A which does a nice job on the 500 and 750w bikes, able to supply up to 1000w for a few seconds. These KT conversions can make your inexpensive bike pretty awesome....
