Looking to purchase the radmini ebike any minute now, my problem is i need second battery that just mounts just as the original plug and play no modding or anything can someone recommend a brand or seller for an almost exact replica of a compatible battery hope you guys understand what im trying to say

To my knowledge, only RAD has this battery if plug and play is necessary.

Would you be able to enlighten the rest of us as to the insane plug and play Rad battery option you found?

Thanks! - RangerDave

Would someone please post a picture of the Rad battery connectors?

I'd like an inexpensive trustworthy battery. Did anyone find this helpful?

TT
well i did email rad and they told me they'll be restocking in few weeks, but this guy on fb builds 52v 21ah batterys for 600$ with bluetooth and what not to get accurate battery life, pretty much plug n play just gotta change the cradle

What about a triangle battery on the radmini? I have a radmini-4 and looking for a second battery.

This is a 52 v 20 ah battery, wondering if it work with the stock radmini4 controller and 500 watt motor.

How are you supposed to fit that battery on RadMini? 🤔

Yes its possible. Seen functional installations of UPP U004 hard case 52v 20ah, Bolton 52v 20ah and litespeed 52v 30ah triangles.

Have not measure the bike, but looks like the triangle space, next to controller and "radpower bike" sign would be a perfect place.

Anyone have any recommendations, like the plastic case look, with the velctro straps. Instead of the giant soft cloth bag with velcro. Also how does one know if quality cells are in the battery pack?

That's a DUAL battery set up too! 😲
So you could possibly get a Reention Polly DP9 (52V 21Ah) and get that bag battery, and make it 52V 41Ah.
I don't know why that bag is 52V 20Ah though? If it's powered by Samsung 35E, maybe it can be made to 21Ah?
Or perhaps triple battery if that rear rack bag is a battery? 😁
Yes. Thats 52v21Ah triangle.

That place would not look good though.. what if you have to fold the bike? You would have to go through the inconvenience of take the battery off, at least half way through.
I am not sure how it's going to interfere with your cranks too.. even if it doesn't, you will be splashing water / dirt directly on to the battery.
*edit*
after seeing JTK77's picture below, I realized that I completely forgot about the fender!
Yeah, I have a fender and a mud flap (DIY) so no dirt gets on that area.

Both bolton bikes and em3ev, say no international shipping, I'm in Canada. Will have to confirm with them

I'd prefer to have two batteries and just connect and disconnect them as needed.

Never had a 52v battery, anyone have it, notice a difference?

For a dual battery setup, as bolton-bikes mentioned, they have to be the same voltage. The original radmini-4 is 48 volts.

Like the giant battery on the back wrack, lol. That's alot of battery.

Shanghai factories closed. Now to April 15th. I'm guessing longer. Some say worse than 3 years ago. A very tough situation at the moment.

Not too many pictures at hand just now. Here is one.
I'm looking at a second battery either a triangle battery under the horizontal frame or a triangle battery on the rear rack. For handling would, would the triangle battery under the horizontal tube be better for weight distribution and bike handling?

Typically yes. A triangle is usually a fairly heavy high Ah pack. Measure the inside space and look up triangle battery specifications. Remeber those cheap <$300 packs are generic with mediocre BMS and poor connections and safeguards. Rear racks are best suited to longer wheelbase bikes like the Townie and Smoothie. Shorter wheel bases feel the weight much more. I liked my triangle packs.

There are expensive packs but I found falcon best bang for the buck. My stitching awl from backpacking decades is a pretty easy fix. Luna is the worst with recycled cardboard stiffeners. EM3ev is better but the simplest of improvements don’t seem to happen. Nice straps and wrapped foam insert panels.

See videos and eBikers reviews. $165
