Rad Bikes for heavy rider

Looking at Rad bikes and am not sure yet. I am 38, 6 ft tall and 335 - 350 pounds. I am thinking the radrunner or radmini. Will either of these work for me with my weight. I don’t know about getting the wagon as it is so long. Anything you can tell me would be great. Thanks.

You would be over the recommended limit for all but the Radwagon. You would most likely be fine on the Radrunner. you should avoid the mini as the folding frame is not as robust. It would be more prudent to go with the wagon. Bikes will generally do fine over the recommended weight but be more prone to tire and wheel problems. Several years ago a friend an I had a superlightweight tandem with skinny 700c tires and 20 spoke wheels. It was custom. Together we weighed well over 300 lbs. we broke a spoke or two on almost every ride (we did a lot of 100 mile rides) but that didn’t stop us. I’m pretty sure with the small wheels and fat tires the bikes can take a lot more weight than they are rated for. You’ll also have to keep an eye on loosening bolts. It could affect your warranty.

If the Rad Wagon is too long, I'd suggest the Rover. The same electrics and drive system on each. As long as you don't plan on a lot of jumping (curbs or rocks), or carrying a lot of freight (like a trailer for instance), I wouldn't be real concerned about your weight.

I have over 2000 miles on my '17 Rad City, without any issues, other than a couple loose spokes that I caught very early on. I believe Rad makes a pretty sturdy bike, especially when considering their price point.

Oh, and I'm 6'2"/315....
