Questions, issues, Specialized Turbo X

I greet you and at the beginning sorry for my poor English.

I am writing from Polish. After seeing the reviews bicycles Specialized Turbo X and Specialized Turbo S really liked the cheaper model X.
However, after further reading about him I learned that it has:
A battery with a smaller capacity than the S,
Weaker motor 200W of S (S 250Watt).

I ask all owners, these models bicycle or the tester for accurate information:

1. Is the difference in power for the motors is very strongly felt while driving? My weight is almost 100kg so much. Thus, if the bike at all will be able to drive me?

2. Is less capacious battery a lot faster exhausted?

3. Does the bikes can operate lights, or they may light up all the time when you start batteries and they can not be turned off?

4. Do Regen mode actually really charges the battery and how much energy can be recovered, for example, it moves for 10 minutes with an average speed of downhill with such. 20km / h and the same braking throttle brake is activated automatically regenerate?

5. Does this bike you can ride in a light rain or on wet roads?6. Is speed more than 25km / h can unlock any bicycle by holding the joystick up in turbo mode? Is in some countries, higher velocity is locked programmatically?

7. Does the bike eco mode supports us up to 25km / h at full power, or you can set a speed which has helped or with what force? Very again I ask you to help and answer my questions.

For the average Polish citizen bikes are very expensive, almost unattainable so it's important for me to learn everything possible about it.

Thank you and best regards,
Darek

3. Does the bikes can operate lights, or they may light up all the time when you start batteries and they can not be turned off?

- At least in model year -13 the bike computer has a light switch. Another switch is on the light (Supernova E3) itself.

4. Do Regen mode actually really charges the battery and how much energy can be recovered, for example, it moves for 10 minutes with an average speed of downhill with such. 20km / h and the same braking throttle brake is activated automatically regenerate?
- On flat and pedaling you can get about 1% per kilometer, so the amount is not really significant unless you have very steep and long downhills where you can also use it for braking; then it can help you recover some of the energy lost.

5. Does this bike you can ride in a light rain or on wet roads?6. Is speed more than 25km / h can unlock any bicycle by holding the joystick up in turbo mode? Is in some countries, higher velocity is locked programmatically?

- The max speed setting can only be changed by Specialized computer software (Windows) and a special device needed to connect to the bike. They are available only to dealers. No problems riding even in heavy rain. But the slick tires have little grip in wet, so watch out in curves. Water is not a problem to the bike electrics either. I wash it regularly and rinse by throwing buckets of water over it.

7. Does the bike eco mode supports us up to 25km / h at full power, or you can set a speed which has helped or with what force? Very again I ask you to help and answer my questions.
- ECO mode means less than 100% support and works all the way to 45 km/h if your bike is set to that speed. You can set the ECO mode support level from the bike computer. Default is 30%.

For the average Polish citizen bikes are very expensive, almost unattainable so it's important for me to learn everything possible about it.

- I think this is true for all countries. 6k€ for a bike is not an easily defendable purchase.

Thank you for your first answer.
So just a store or service may remove the lock speed.

And as with the power of the bike, engine power?

Yes, only the store/service can remove it. If they say no, you can tell you register it as moped. Should not be a problem for them. I think 200W vs 250W you may have more difficulty maintaining 45 km/h, but it probably wont make so much difference if your max speed is 25 km/h. I favorable conditions I can maintain 45 km/h with a 250 W motor and using only 30% support.

I am 184 and I use XL with no problems but I think for me better would have been L. You would also be probably better off with L. I have the XL because I bought a slightly used showroom bike and there weren't really better options for that price.

Hi, I have the same question about the battery of the Specialized Turbo X versus the Turbo S regarding the maximum range.
On electricbikereview the S (model 2014) had a range between 30 and 40 mile, the X (model 2015) a range between 25 and 55 mile. However, my local dealer says the battery of the X is faster exhausted compared to the S.
Does anybody knows the truth about this?

I want a E-Bike with a good suspension fork approved and testes by Specialized, so that's why I am interested in a X with the suspension fork, also because of the great review about the X on this site.

According to the specs the X has a 562 WH battery (vs 691 Wh in S) but the motor has half the power of the S. So even though the X battery is only about 80% of the capacity of S battery, having a smaller motor should compensate for it. But I dont know how things are in real life.
