Question on battery storage n use

I have an Aventure. I have a injury that is likely to sideline me ,plus recoup , unable to ride for a month, likely longer. I keep my bike in the house due to the weather. My battery is currently at 49%. I really wanted to ride this fast. Looks like late fl, maybe winter. Winter will obviously mean less riding,if I'm able. My current plan is to try to keep it between 40 and 60%, monitoring weekly. Is this optimal till I'm able to ride again to preserve battery performance till I'm able to ride.

Yes, that plan will work well. The only other thing - depending upon where you live - would involve not allowing the battery to be exposed to near or below freezing temps. If that is a possibility based on where you store the bike, I would suggest bringing the battery inside.

Thats a fine plan. You could let it sit longer once you verify there is no parasitic drain anywhere. Taking the battery out of the bike would ensure that doesn't happen. However if the pack has a bluetooth BMS it will drain a teensy bit and need topping up.

too damp.
Humidity may not be an issue regarding your battery concerns, but it is always best to avoid storing electronics in a humid environment. A bit of road salt and/or salt from the air here and there, and you begin to have strange issues that are difficult to diagnose. Best storage would be cool and dry.

I haven't been able to ride for 4 plus weeks due to recovering from injury, looks like at least another month plus minimum. Battery holding at 48%.
