Questiin about riding slow on aventure

I have been off the hor Dr e for over a year. I broke my leg in a freak accident. Multiple surgeries, 9 month recovery. Death in family. Dealing with related business. Al.ist ready to start back riding...

My question, the area I live in is high traffic, no bike lanes, few paths. Not bike friendly. A couple of the places I want to ride are green trails, ebikes officially not allowed. But not usually strictly enforced. Regular bikes are allowed. One if these trails is fairly hilly, rolling hills. Not big hills. Lots of the trails are through the woods on boardwalks tgs csn be very slick. On one trail the speed limit is 10 mph.

From previous experience, an Aventure can be hard to ride under 10 mph. Even harder riding with no power unless level ground or downhill.
I'll know more when I try.. suggestions,?

The Aventure 2 is supposed to have torque sensor pedaling, so it might be easier to keep at a low speed. As for no-power riding uphill, the only solutions I can think of offhand would be a lighter weight bike or a change of gearing (smaller chain ring) on the Aventure.

I have the original Aventure. I really like my bike. But not crazy about delay with throttle and when you start pedaling.

I haven't had a lot of trouble with by bike. But after my injury ,not able to ride for a long time. The next bike i buy probably won't be a Aventon. I'm not very handy, few shops close to me that do more than basics on ebikes , or that work specifically on this brand. I live in a very populated state. Closest Aventon Shops are 3 and 6 hrs away. I have been less than impressed with Aventon support, even less with their response time. Always. Many days !

On flat terrain you can ride an Aventure. 2 at 10mph two ways: In ECO and with barely any resistance on the pedals, or with assist OFF and quite a bit more effort in the pedals. There is not much difference in the PAS settings at low effort/speed. Basically any assist mode makes it just about effortless to ride at 10mph on flat ground. The differences don't kick in until much higher speeds/efforts. You might be able to tweak this (if you want a little more effort in ECO but not as much as OFF) by reducing tire pressure to increase rolling resistance.
