Test the charger's output. That would be an easy answer. Or it could be the battery's BMS. That would be big.Nakto battery not charging, would bad fuze cause this? Or is fuze to protect motor and other electrical components. Checked continuity on fuze it is good.
Did it have power at all from day one? Or was it completely unresponsive since arrival? Thanks, trying to resolve issue with Nakto, they are being stubborn about replacing a new battery, we have a different charger for the same battery on a second bike , charger works ok, fuze is ok. Battery never has charged from day one.
And just as an aside, there was a random comment made on a Nakto Youtube video on the battery that said their own battery had a second fuze on the internal wiring harness, and the stock fuse wasn't connected in that specific case. Across many manufacturers, odd construction variances and mismatched parts like that have not been completely uncommon during the COVID-induced supply chain disruptions. It has popped up in a few threads, so just something to keep in mind as a last resort if you get stuck having to open the battery up.If the fuse is good, it wasn't the problem. Still, some batteries also have a fuse for the charger and a fuse for the output. Which Natko do you have? Many of them use the Silverfish with a handle, and those often have a fuse for the charger under the handle. Cartridge fuse. Comes out with Phillips screwdriver.
I don't see a fuse, but the sole purpose of a fuse is to burn up in a dead short and prevent a fire or melt down. The fuse melts before anything else and is a safety device. Chargers usually fail before a battery pack. They are cheap disposable hardware. You really need to know the output voltage of the battery pack. A green light really means nothing if the charger has failed.Sorry for the spelling error, it's as good as my knowledge on e bycycle electronics..Then what is a fuse for on this battery? Our chargers are showing us the battery is charged but it will not charge, I sent those photos to Nakto
