Problem with Surface604 Shred

I've had my Surface604 shred ebike for 4 years. I started having trouble with it last week. I press the throttle but the bike will just barely move but there is not enough power to move the bike. If I press the brake lever the motor stops completely and won't run again until I restart the display on the handle bars. I've adjusted the brake system but that didn't help. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I assume that you've reseated all external electrical cable connectors. Are all assist levels working properly when the throttle's not in use?

My Surface 604 V Rook has 2 years and 3,000 miles on it. Motor noise is very slowly getting louder, but it's holding up well otherwise.

Thanks for your reply Jeremy. No I haven't reseated all the external cables. I know nothing about how to work on ebikes to the point I don't know what reseat external cables means. I'm guessing that I need to unplug the cables and plug them back in. Sure appreciate the help.

Just push together any connectors you can get to.

Lost all motor power on day 2 of owning mine. Turned out that the motor cable connector near the rear axle had come loose. Probably an assembly issue in my case. Reconnected the cable, no problem since.

What about my question regarding assist without throttle?
