Problem with battery replacement on computer for Specialized Turbo Vado 4.0

This is my first replacement of the battery of the TCD Display on the Specialized Turbo Vado 4.0. I am sure the new battery is good. When installed the computer remains blank. I do know that I will have to sync to my bike again and that all the previous information is gone. Any suggestions. I've taken the batter in and out several times - tried other batteries. Thanks

Correct battery orientation?
The protective label removed from the inner battery side?

If a proper button battery is installed correctly, the display should go on immediately. No need to do anything else, as all the e-bike information is stored in the motor but not in the display.

Thanks for your reply to my issue. It was neither that you suggested by I took a trip to where I purchased and hour away and it ended up being the contacts. When it turned on, all my information was there except the correct time. It synced to the bike easily. All good now.
