I have a cyclamatic power plus ebike. It was working quite well so after a ride out put it on charge. Charged up fine, took it out again. As soon as i started pedalling, the rear wheel made a loud grinding noise sort of as if its rubbing really hard against something but wasnt. I know have power but the motor refuses to do anything. What coud be the problem ? Ive checked the battery and its the battery that came with the bike. 24V, reading at 23.5v so thats ok. I have full power led, no dash. Can anyone guide me as to how i can fix this as need for daily commute.

many thanks.

First, check the motor for any letters, numbers, or actual words. Cyclamatic puts a label on the bike, they do not manufacture a motor. Also, 23.5 is partially depleted for a 24V battery, depending on chemistry, which is information that you failed to supply.

Fortunately, I read your other post so I know that your motor is in the rear wheel, but have no idea if this is a geared or DD hub, which is also information that you have failed to supply.

Get the rear wheel off the ground, spin it, compare to un motored front wheel, then disconnect ALL repeat ALL wires directly from motor, repeat test, report results. Also verify that problem only occurs under motor power, not when coasting or motor completely off.
