Powertube died

Yesterday I rode to work, as always. Upon returning after my workday, I noticed the battery was WAY lower than was to be expected.
I quickly came to the conclusion that only one of the 2 batteries was still being detected (the powerpack), while the other was not being picked up anymore.

When I came home I tried to charge the powertube out of the bike, connected to the charger directly.
This did not work, no lights came on, charger did not turn on either.
Charging the powerpack in this way works perfectly fine.

Is there anything I can do to further test this situation, or is the powertube simply dead?
Bike (and therefor batteries) is only 5.5 months old...

I this normal??

This is what your warranty is for! I hope you get a PowerTube swap same day. The PowerTubes have not been out that long, so it’s hard to say what is normal but surely < 6 mos is not.

I’m sure everyone will appreciate if you follow-up here. The PoerPacks are not prone to early failure, so if there’s a weak link structurally with the PowerTubes, it’s something to be aware of. Something could be loose, or damaged connector or ....

Good luck!

Exactly the same thing happened to one of mine, after 12 months and about 8,000 km. Bosch were very good and changed it over free of any cost. That was after they had received and tested the dud one, which took 2 weeks. In the meantime, because I was on a road trip, I had to buy a new one; the replacement was delivered into the store of the Bosch Service Centre bike shop where I took it to diagnose the problem, and they refunded me the full cost but it took several weeks to get my money back.
