power assist change

I have a Juiced RipCurrent and am wondering if it is hard on any electrical components (such as electrical contact points) to change assist levels while under heavy peddle power power or should one ease up to lighten the electrical load of the components while changing the assist level sort of like when changing gears.

1st, there are no points anywhere in the power train between the battery and the motor. All switching is electronic.

2nd, changing assist levels just changes the load on the motor, done electronically. So no concern about you backing off on your pedaling while changing anything there.

Sounds like you already know that where you should back off momentarily, is when you are shifting gears.

It is easier on mechanical parts to ease up when shifting under load, but no electrical issues.
