Polaris vector 2013 e-bike throttle issue

I bought 2 used Polaris vector e-bikes 2013 year, yesterday .
i took it for the first 5 mile ride today. It performed beautifully for 4.5 miles, then the throttle stated on full powe. Also the throttle was not responding.
i had to turn the off butt on display. With it off bike road like a bicycle. as soon as I turned the power back on and tried throttle, nothing happened. Wen I began pedaling the throttle went full power.
any ideas on what it can be?

throttle stuck on? although if this is the case, usually when the unit is turned back on it will display a fault code on screen. does the bike have pedal assist?

Yes it has pedal assist. It doesn’t have a code showing the error conditions.

Throttles are poorly made, cheap devices that send a variable signal to the controller. I’d take the throttle off the other one to troubleshoot this bike.
