Hi - I'm new to the forum. I'm a long-time (45 years) roadie with bad knees, which led me to buy a Specialized Turbo Creo Expert. I love the bike, but wish it had a quieter motor. I've been reading about the Pinarello Nytro series using the TQ motor. It looks really good to me. Anyone have experience with this bike and the TQ motor?

I would like someone who has the TQ HPR50 motor to provide information about its performance and operation. From what I have seen so far, it doesn't get good reviews at all.

Is that Creo 1 or 2? The Creo 2 is meant to have a much quieter motor. TQ is quiet but not very powerful despite it's 50nm rating - from what the reviews say but in comparison to the Creo's 35nm I'm not sure which is actually more powerful.

Fazua 60 and the Creo 2 motor both seem quiet and both have a bit more grunt. The newer Bosch SX looks good but I can't remember if it's quiet. I think the issue with the Creo motor (same as my Vado SL) is not the loudness but the high frequency whine, particularly on hills. Lower frequency motor noise isn't so noticeable.

Not sure if it's 1 or 2. I bought it in January of 2023. Thanks for all the feedback....really appreciate it.

Just checked out the Pinarello, looks good. Clearly with Pinarello you get all that road history so the question is how they & TQ are if you have a motor/battery issue? That, for me, is always key. Spesh are market leaders with warranty claims. Think you need to ask the Pinerello dealer some blunt questions and try out/test ride the bike (on a hill if poss!) plus a few different e road bikes for comparison to your Creo 1. Obviously depending on where you live and availability of brands & dealers. Good luck!
