I've had mine for months and haven't really thought about it. It seems fine to me. Some people would like more color choices. I have the gunmetal grey. Sometimes paint can get scratched, scraped, chipped during shipping.
After further examination close-up, I have the say everything looks great. It's not a glossy paint job, but it looks good, and the welds look good, and some are smoothed out as well. My 700 didn't have have a scratch.
