Pace 500 forks

Wondering if anyone has replaced the fixed fork on their Pace 500 with a suspension fork, and if so with what fork, and are you happy with the results? I'm considering either the Rockshox Judy or Recon, but I'm open to suggestions. Thanks much, John

I have my son's Pace 500 sitting in my bike shed and would like to do the same thing to it, so let us know what works.
I put a Rockshox Paragon on my Trek 7.2 that has a BBS02. Couldn't be happier except the $250.
You would want to remove your existing fork and measure the steer tube diameters at the top and the bottom, and measure how long it is. Then shop for something that fits. If the steer tube is too long you simply cut it, though cutting it square is the trick. Figure out how you're going to do the head tube bearings. That's where the art of a backyard mechanic may need to come into play, unless, that is, you have the proper tools. ;)
