Orbea Gain flashing purple?

Hi guys,

I just brought a brand new Orbea gain D50 this week and everything seemed to be fine. But now on my third ride the Ebikemotion 36V hub light is flashing purple and the assist is no longer kicking in.

I have been checking online for information on this but I can't see anything. Do any of you know how to fix this?

I checked the guide on this and it says flashing purple means there is a fault but the app is not telling me whats wrong.

Here are some pictures of the bike
Looks all fine as far as I can tell? Anyone have any recommendations on ebike stores I can get this checked at? I really don't want to have to return this :(

I had this problem on 3rd ride! and the electric cable from the rear wheel had simply disconnected at a point a few inches along where there is a socket it plugs into. I cannot see this socket on your photo, mine is a D30, but have a look and simply plug back in.

Hi. I've had a ribble endurance sle for a year now and went through hell with the purple flashing light. The bike was returned twice and I was told no issues. The rear wheel developed a quiet knocking noise when riding and on full red setting down a hill doing 34mph I hit my first purple flashing light. To cut a long story short it's the rear hub! It's broken. I have two wheelsets and had a brand new set hung up with winter tyres on. After weeks and weeks of faffing about I changed the wheelset (same hub just newer... well never been used) and after trial and error of turning on and trying the bike calibrated itself. The new rear wheel was so much more powerful than the first. What had happened was the first rear wheel had lost some magnets (that was the noise I could hear) and due to that the power it could put out was limited and therefore didnt marry up with the turn cycle and power therefore I kept getting speed sensor errors. New wheel... calibrated and no errors. If you keep getting errors there is a YouTube clip of a guy who can hear sounds coming from the ebikemotion rear hub. Listen to the rear wheel.. forwards and backwards... if theres a slight knocking... beware of the purple light. In fairness... when ribble found out about this they were brilliant and the rear wheel error is really rare. Supposedly. Purple flashing light... speed sensor error... listen for any knocking from the rear wheel or anything that doesn't sound right. That's your problem.
