One year, 7500 km

Yesterday I received a message from Trek that my Verve +3 is one year old (since my purchase). It has been a great bike with modifications I have made to make it more adapted to trail riding as well as road. Today I am assembling a garage workbench to go with the new Park PCS 10.2 repair/maintenance stand I bought last week. Will be nice to get up off the ground for service work, and get my tools out of our grandkids’ little red wagon! Will post some pictures later on completion.

From the title I take it you’ve done 7500km on the Trek? That’s an amazing feat! Maintenance wise what things wore out regularly ? How much mileage do you think you can still get from the bike?

Yes, 7500 km in the year I have owned it. The only parts I have replaced are the rear cassette once, chain twice and the derailleur/hanger once due to a stick destroying the original. I have the parts to service the disc brakes but not needed yet… I live in a fairly flat area.
As to how long the bike will last, I haven’t even thought about that. Everything is running very strong. I expect many good years ahead.

Wow a lot of kilometers in one year.

What level of assist do you mostly ride and do you top up your battery to 100% every ride or every two ride?

I ride mostly with full assist, 30 to 40 km per day when I am out. I have another dual suspension “analogue” bike, much lighter, that I ride if I want more exercise now. I usually top up the battery after every ride at the usual mileage, as it would not likely last for two rides.

I have exactly the same bike as you and I have been avoiding the turbo mode. I always thought using turbo mode would prematurely damage the motor, now I don't know anymore.

Balance in all things, grasshopper.😎
Turbo gets used about 5-10% of the time on my 26+ mile workout rides. Generally use it up the hilliest last 2 miles of these rides. No issues. I could use it much more but am out there to work out. My Allant+7 has a different motor (Performance Line CX) though so it’s not a direct comparison.
