Nyon battery dead because of the cold?

We had the coldest day this year 23 degrees only one day got below 30 so far. put my battery in turn on the nyon it boots up then i see its off. turn it back on and I got a dead battery icon for the nyon. no clue I used the bike and it had a battery all day yesterday and was warm most of the day. I did have a little bit of connection issue on the last coldest day that took a wiggle to fix. so I dont know if it has not been charging or if it was the cold or what. I got as battery pack and charged it in a few minutes it booted up. then after a bit it was fine and I rode to work. got to work and it showed 35% charged. but checking a hour later it has not gone up. I will check it again after cleaning the contacts.

seems to be a contact issue. like today when I turned the bike on the nyons battery level showed when ti should not have if it was fully connected to the bike. I popped it out and back in and it was fine. I had to replace the metal bracket as my nyon was loose an causing issues. but hte contacts are clean an are coated wit hthat aircraft grade electrical contact coating.

Seems like an odd issue. It is rare that you will need to charge your Nyon independently from the eBike. The main function of the Nyon battery is to turn the bike on/off and have off-board functionality.

If the Nyon bracket was loose, it may have been a growing issue. The main eBike battery may not have been charging the Nyon and it slowly dipped to the point where it would turn the bike on/off.

I replaced the metal bracket and it fits tight. I have a lot of vibration and i used a little silicone adhesive to help with that when I replaced the bracket. but when it was dead I took it off and cleaned the silicone off. this morning before I left I checked the battery after my Saturday 45 mile ride it was at 87% and after the ride to work its 97% I also cleaned the contacts again. I ahve had speed sensor issues and I think it was because of a poor connection. I check it by taking the nyon off so maybe doing that may make the connection work.
