The thousand Euro subsidy is nice, too...almost as if the government cares

We have (or used to have) incentives for buying electric cars here in the US.. why not e- bikes? They get more cars off the road which everyone (except automotive lobbyists) agree is a good thing. Instead, for the most part, our gov't has decided we should pay a penalty for buying them

I find it disappointing that so many see the solution as enacting taxes as opposed to subsidies. This goes for those who want to, or at least say they want to address the issue.

Unfortunately the work being done here is in the opposite direction. Other countries provide incentives, we impose tariffs.
