Okay, I am officially exhausted and stressed out at looking for a solid, reliable kit for cheap with a battery that can last around 20+ miles....

For a starter kit, I'm looking at a YESCOM 48V 1000W Rear Wheel E-Bike Conversion kit for about $248 off ebay. The rest I can spend on battery. $650-$700 TOPS for a whole kit. What is the best battery to give me 20+ miles per charge? Too many options...

Welcome! To be honest there are only a few people that do builds around here - I'm sure a few people will provide some info, but your question might be better researched and asked over at the endless sphere forums.

Court, who runs this site, has reviewed Dillenger kits. There are some less than favorable reviews in their forum, here. That said, this is about what you have to spend:

These guys make kits in your price range;

You should be able to find reviews, here or elsewhere.

If you go to Endless Sphere or You Tube you may find options like LiPo batteries from Hobby King, or building packs. Most people do not want to go down these paths.

Good luck. Prices are coming down. A full bike for around $1000 is possible. Check with @Crazy Lenny Ebikes

The battery is going to be a risk, no matter what, unless you get a warranty and feel the vendor will honor the warranty.
