Hi, just saying
.
In my youth I’ve been an avid cyclist and Triathlete and own a couple of carbon race bikes. I still go out with my 28yr old Son, but unfortunately I’m slightly off the pace now
. I’m also a fanatical golfer and it was this that had me looking into converting my touring bike. It’s a 3 mile trek with a very narrow, highly undulating road to the clubhouse. My idea was to save using my car, get a little extra exercise as well as fresh air.
So, I recently converted my old Giant touring bike to an E bike, using a Bafang 750w mid motor. I’m aware it’s a little dodgy, law wise, but really wanted the extra power and speed to get me through the narrow undulating piece of road I mentioned above.
Unfortunately though, after only 4 weeks and 139 mile it seems like the C500 display has packed in
. I’ve contacted the seller through Amazon, but not sure what to expect as it’s a Chinese company, time will tell. Fortunately I’m still able to use it, as I’ve by-passed the display using the programming cable.
