Newbie Saying Hello

Hi, just saying 👋.

In my youth I’ve been an avid cyclist and Triathlete and own a couple of carbon race bikes. I still go out with my 28yr old Son, but unfortunately I’m slightly off the pace now😁. I’m also a fanatical golfer and it was this that had me looking into converting my touring bike. It’s a 3 mile trek with a very narrow, highly undulating road to the clubhouse. My idea was to save using my car, get a little extra exercise as well as fresh air.

So, I recently converted my old Giant touring bike to an E bike, using a Bafang 750w mid motor. I’m aware it’s a little dodgy, law wise, but really wanted the extra power and speed to get me through the narrow undulating piece of road I mentioned above.

Unfortunately though, after only 4 weeks and 139 mile it seems like the C500 display has packed in☹️. I’ve contacted the seller through Amazon, but not sure what to expect as it’s a Chinese company, time will tell. Fortunately I’m still able to use it, as I’ve by-passed the display using the programming cable.

Welcome to EBR Wrighty, sorry for your issue, but you did the right thing by contacting the seller and for now, just enjoy the rides.

Welcome to EBR... You will find a wealth of resources on this forum. ;)

Good luck with the display and let us know how it turns out with the seller.
