Hello everyone, my wife and I just purchased Aventon Aventures. We are already having a lot of fun, except for the Aventon app. It doesn't track my route accurately. I have a Pixel phone but my wife has an Apple, I'll see if it works any better on that one. In the meantime, if someone has experience with this and how to improve tracking accuracy, I would appreciate it.

I use an app called Komoot, which can even give turn by turn directions.

Here is an example of what I am talking about. These are the exact same tracking plots, one from my wife's Apple watch and the other from the Aventon app. The tracking from the app is pathetic! I'll be looking for some other tracking app for when she is not with me, thanks for the suggestion.

Welcome from Macomb, Illinois. Where do you keep your phone when riding? If it’s buried in a bag or pocket that might make it difficult for it to track the satellites. If you put it on a mount on your handlebars it might do better. If that’s not the problem I use an app called Ride With GPS. It seems to work well for me and I use the free version.

I do have it in a bag but it is right on top in the mesh portion, virtually exposed, not buried. I don’t think it is a tracking issue. Also, my wife’s phone/watch captured the other plot on her watch app, while the Aventon app running on the same phone produced a path similar to the one on my phone. Clearly the difference is the two apps, not reception of the GPS. Thanks for the app suggestion.

I use Wahoo fitness when biking, Polar Beat when walking. Both seem to do a nice job tracking as long as the phone is exposed. Both are free and track other stats of interest to me.
