Does anyone have one of these new models yet. Only interested if someone has the Vado 6.0 SL EQ bike.
I would like to hear some positives and negatives especially attention to top speed. Thanks in advance

there is guy that purchased on on this thread I don't remember his name but look through it and send him a message Good luck

Thanks for the response back, I ended up buying a gazelle ultimate T10 Plus Class 3. Very well built very good components well worth the money. And you're not getting gouged by some big name!

I watched some videos about the SL2 (funny that it's still quite limited what you find about it on Youtube- 2 reviews in English and 2 in German). I have to admit I am getting more positive about it. Still the thicker tires are not so nice. In Denmark we have excellent cycle paths everywhere and there is no need for thicker tires that slow you down if you mainly drive on tarmac.

One thing that makes me wonder btw is that while in the EU the Vado SL and the normal Vado are limited to 25 km/h, the identical Vado SL in the US apparently is a class 3 bike and one of the SL2 videos showed it speeding up to the max 28 mph (45 km/h) allowed for that class. In Europe , Speed Pedelecs that are allowed to support up top 45 km/h are all much more sturdier and much heavyer than the Vado SL and the Vado.

Why is that? Does the EU require more reinforced, sturdier components for a speed pedelec than the US does for a class 3 bike?

sure, but it is almost 10 kg heavier than the SL2 (24 kg w/o battery, so approx 27-28 kg including battery). Completely different bike. This compares more to the normal Vado than the SL version

I own a full power Vado 6.0 and the regular Vado SL 4.0. In all honesty: If I owned no e-bike right now, the SL 2 6.0 Carbon non-EQ would satisfy all my cycling needs as a single e-bike. I would only add temporary SKS mudguards and an Ortlieb Quick Rack for bad weather and grocery shopping but remove these extras for sporty rides. SL 2 6.0 is a good crossover between higher power and lighter weight.

Fortunately, I own the two e-bikes already ;)

I had today the possibility to see the 6.0 in a shop . I’m torn… on one hand getting a cool upgrade of my 4 year old 4.0 EQ would be nice but it was not a wow effect seeing it in person . The tires are much wider and profiled than on the 4.0 and 5.0 and the protectors around it massive . The frame also is wider and clearly recognisable as an e-bike . Still leaner than the full Vado ( oh my god those are really bold and heavy - more than other brands) but yes

Just found some pictures from when I received my 4.0 some years ago . Much more narrow wheels and frame . This is a luxury problem but still …
