The Fold X special edition link is hidden. Ineresting, but no prices as of yet.

It looks like Sondors is trying to catch up the the Biktrix, Juiced, M2S, Teo and Voltbikes of the world while one uping the Rad Rovers and the old Sondors ebikes!

I put my order in for the Sondors fat tire XS today on August 20, 2018. Today is the first day the preorder begins for what Sondors claims is a limited addition of 100. The price is at $1,699 USD, which that price includes deliveries to the lower 48 states. Deliveries are scheduled exspected to go out this December.

I presently have the orginal first crowd funded 2015 fat tire model, which is a single speed, 350 watt motor, and the 8.8 amp hour batter. I grew to feel this bike lacking.

This XS model has everything on my hit list; 750 watt motor, the 17 amp hour capacity battery, 7 speed transmission, hydraulic brakes, front air suspension fork, color display, 48 tooth crank, and a color I think looks dope! I think the bike is priced appropriately; and with tariffs in the air, this may be a great deal. I'm sure looking forward to this Sondors ebike with high expectations, and enthusiasm.

Mike......I posted a thread before reading this one, so sorry. Yes, I agree, the new Fold XS has caught my eye for sure. Due out August 2019. All the specs you list. If it offered 28 mph, it would be near perfect and my order would already be in. Is the 20 mph version easily derestricted?

Previous Sondors could be made to go over 20mph with a different controller and display. The fastest I got mine was 26mph

I think there are many new Fold XS bike owners who are surprised to find out their bike will not pedal faster than 18 mph. I'm one of them. Sondors says "up to 20 mph" in their ads, but that usually refers to the throttle limits set for most US states. But the gears are set so low, you also cannot pedal faster than this an average speed. Going downhill? Prepare to coast until the bike eventually slows down. What happened to the 28 mph limit for pedal assist? You must know better than myself, but I've seen an ebike that pedals so slow...and I've owned a bunch over the years. It impacts how the ebike drives in just about any speed. Especially with a 750 watt motor! Sondors builds an excellent bike, and now one model with a big motor, but the new XS models have a real flaw with the hardware.
