I read and posted on an older thread, and watched some videos them got a 1t2 8 pin to 3 pin and 5 pin splitter cable
I then got another male to female to replace the gender mismatch between the display and the new cable, opting to change itss end, which came female, to a male so that a replacement display will be also be correct. Made the plug swap then pulled the OE cable, only to discover that the motor end is a different 8 pin plug.
Now I'm thinking I just need to do the same splice job to swap these two and it may be good. However for the splice I did on the 5 pin plug, since it was the same only opposite gender plug, I just matched colors but didn't check the pin out. These two plugs are so different I'm wondering if the pin out could be propriatary and that I need to match it. Anybody have any input?
