Hello, my name is Seb, I’m French and I’m living at Le Mans in France .( so pls forgive my English)
Ebikes are pretty new for me and I’ve got a RadRhino 5 for less than 2months ...
I love my ride but I hate the 250W EU restrictions so I ordered a Bolton kit 😜 and probably soon a new 750 w Bafang .
I’ll appreciate any advise/info ... thanks a lot

What's a Bolton kit? Is it something specific for Rad bikes? Do you have to change the motor to get higher output? Battery? I can't stand the 32kph limit we have here in Canada on e-bikes and I imagine that the EU 25kph limit is maddeningly low. Heck, you can go faster than that on a regular bike!

I don’t mind the speed to be honest with you what’s really annoying me is the 6kph throttle restriction.
for the Bolton I mean Bolton Ebikes and yes it’s a kit ( controlle/display) specific for Rad .

Please don’t get me wrong cause Im not a bad guy but I don‘t care at all I don’t think I’m going to have much problems with the Law enforcement I’m sure they have much more important matters to work on ...

Bolton bikes is a gentleman that I picked up on YouTube. Very honest reviews of bikes, etc. He has his own line of bicycles but offers kits on how to upgrade your ebike. He's very thorough and loves bikes but I'm starting to think he has stock in Rad Power bikes because everything he has aftermarket seems to be for Rads! Lol seriously though, watch a few of his YouTube videos, does a great job explaining things straight forward.
 
This stupid laws.. why they don't fine the drivers in a similar way for going over the speed limit ??

They illegally delimited their cars speed by excessively pressing on the accelerator pedal.
Car companies should void their warranty(they have hundreds of computers in a new car+the ohone GPS can prove it that speed limit was tressapassed upon. What a great idea i have.

-+insurance should double their rates !!

Comon Macron & politico inc. do it, the country needs the money. Merci beaucoup.

Are ebike riders discriminated against ?

@seb, if you've read this far, how is ebike ownership in Paris or in the big cities in France ?

What brands are popular ? Enjoy this forum, is a LOT of information, enjoy the ebike. Rest assured if it ever has any issues, our ebr community can fix everything and anything ebike and not only😉
