New motor is thinner than the old?

Just got a new G020 Bafang front hub motor from Ali Express to replace my old SWX02. I was planning on just swapping the guts from the new motor to the old but the casing on the new is thinner than the old. The new one is 48V 500W like the old one. I saw something about this being a new model but I'm not sure. The photo shows that it is indeed a 48V, 500W motor. The wheel is a 24 inch. Tire is 4 in. There's a marking in the second photo that says 20 ". Is the new motor for a 20 inch wheel? If this is the right motor (new model), I'll have to replace the whole thing. Can I re-use the old spokes or should I cut the spokes and get new ones?

I have never gotten a new motor that matched an old motor, so every time I have to order new spokes from china. Nobody in USA on ebay stocks 2.5 mm spokes. Spoke length calculators are big liars so I just order a little longer or a little shorter than I have already depending on the change in diameter and width of a motor. A batch of wrong length chinese spokes is about $20 so big deal.
Cutting spokes is something bike shops do on 2 mm spokes. They have a custom rethread machine for those spokes. They charge $1.25 each, whereas 60 new 2 mm DTswiss spokes are about $50, so not worth it IMHO. 2 mm spokes have a different bend radius than 2.5 mm so even though DTswiss are probably stronger than the garbage metal from china, I cannot use them.

I cannot believe 99.9% of US citizens give their private information away for nothing. Facebook wants my birthdate, they can pay a private investigator.

According to my Facebook info, I am 100 years old, but I can't read the link anyway,

Spoke calculators on the Grin and the DT Swiss websites give slightly different lengths, Go figure. I've alsways used the Grin calculator. I haven't set up the calculator is a couple of years, but am pretty sure that if the motor is the same diameter, then entering a narrower motor in the calculator will get a slightly shorter spoke.

That means your current spokes are too long, but the difference is probably less than .5mm. They should fit fine, and if they do not, use washers under the nipples if needed. Good ebike rims will be double wall, and the tire will never seen any extra height.

This means you're spoking a wheel? Good luck. Always helps to have another wheel to compare, but compare it against the same corss pattern. Motors are usually single cross.

You don't need a spoke fixture, an upside down bike works, if it's comforatble to work by it.
