Hi all,
I need to buy a new e-cycle for work. Journey is 15miles both way with hills. I have knee problems from cycling previously. I have been told mid-drive motor with changeable battery is important. Basically, i need a cycle whose battery is well made, has a good warranty so that i am not paying a lot of money for a replacement and i need the sellers to keep their word on fixing things when they go wrong.
Do any brands have great customer service and reliable parts? As i said, i absolutely need this cycle to function to get to work every day without misshaps.

Many thanks

Buying from a LBS will get you along way towards your goals of a good warranty and having someone stand behind your purchase. Keep an eye out for the brands sold in your area in the lists that FlatSix posted.

Test riding is very important; another reason to go through a LBS.

Let us know how your search goes.

Hopefully you have bike shops close by. I'd start talking to them. Attempt to get a feel not so much for any particular bike but for the shop. Do they look busy and dedicated? Are people leaving with bikes after repair happy? I'd discreetly talk to some customers if at all possible. To my mind finding a really good shop is as important if not more so than the brand of bike you buy. As to the bike itself ... just do not go with some unknown barely established brand based on price. Survey your area. What are the more popular brands? Talk to owners and ask probing questions. Especially about frequency of repair. Test ride several bikes. Learn about tires. Especially flat protection. Educate yourself about bikes in general if you are not experienced. Repair and maintenance. There are lots of good you tube videos for that. :)
