Hi all. Been interested in an bike for some time and finally pulled the trigger on two Rad Mini’s. A his and hers model. I also ride a Harley Davidson Ultra Limited. My plan is to sell the hog and switch to the bike. I'm getting up there in age (64) and the wife and I want to slow down and view the scenery and get much needed exercise.
I’m mechanically inclined and do all the maintenance on my Harley so I think maintaining ebikes will be easy peasy. I already ordered better seats, shock absorbing seat post, upgraded headlights, Sena helmet for communication and other whatnot. Looking for the right kind of lock (s) and maybe theft insurance. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the site & the hobby. I ride the bike left to shop, appointments, meetings, concerts & to summer camp.
If your city has secure bike tethers that can reach the frame U-locks from Abus & Krypton are adequate. In busy urban environments thieves have a ready plan for these and have the right tool. 2 attachments make your bike harder to steal than the next bike.
I have to use power poles, gas meters, live electrical conduits, grocery cart racks. I use a 6' long x 1/2" diameter stainless steel sling from mcmaster.com and an abus 92/80 lock. https://www.mcmaster.com/8942T15
Sling is PIT* to cut up in the air without a $350 compound cutter. Sling rolls up in pannier. Lock is 1" thick brass but looks like steel. Only lock with throat big enough for 1" of sling. Comes from Zoro. Tumbler is 6 pin, resists one shot of a stud installer.
Happy riding.
