Brompton today have introduced their first 20" wheel model, the G-Line Electric. It's retailing in the UK at 3500GBP which is about US$4650

Review from Wired of the G-Line Electric https://www.wired.com/review/review-brompton-electric-g-line/
Video review from a UK dealer of the non-electric G-Line model
The 250w rear hub electric motor/front 345wh battery is not compatible with the current C-Line Electric. 4-speed gearing with a 160% range. The larger 20" wheels, hydraulic disk brakes, and wider handlebars are new for Brompton. The rack wheels were redesigned with roller bearings to make it easier to roll this heavier Electric model (42-43lb) when folded.
Update: Brompton Customer Support emailed me to confirm the G-Line Electric is UL 2849 certified.

I’m sad to say I’ve had three electric Bromptons hoping they would improve.
The last one was fine except it kept “throwing me off”…. It’s the motor powering up very quickly and on a surface with small amounts of gravel or grass… the steering goes haywire and I’d enter up on the floor!
When I saw the specs of the new G line electric I thought I was dreaming….. “rear wheel drive”, 20” wheels, bungy wide tyres, disc brakes, wider handlebars and a first class gear shifter.
ok to a Brompton purist it might seem wrong, but to a guy in his 70s having just had half a lung removed due to cancer, the new specs meet all my needs.
So I contacted my LBS and they told me it’s only shipping (in the UK) to the premier type of shops (eg Brompton Junctions etc) and they proba won’t see them until spring / summer next year.
ok I could order direct from Brompton but i believe in supporting local shops who can help if anything goes wrong.
I have me cheque book ready for when they are available locally.

"G-Line Electric is UL 2849 certified" ... that's worth more than the larger wheels for folks who live in apartments and need transportation to and from the train station.
