Im not paying nearly £2000 for a good branded bike when this has better spec for £1099
which spec?

just looked at the duots branded one, flimsy brakes, phased out gear system, cheap components (fork is worrying) and what is going on on the handle bar with al these plastic remotes in weird positions?

I have not ridden the bike so cannot judge on that part. you get what you pay for.

I would recommend a Specialized Vado. A used one if you’re trying to keep the costs down.

It’s a quality all around pedal assist bike that works great on asphalt and dirt roads.

Parts are readily available if needed. My wife and I have 1600 miles on each of ours and haven’t done anything but lube the chains.

Then state why they are not good !
These are at the scrap metal price and quality. No need to shout at me.

Many people think they can get a good e-bike at the price of an average pedal bike. How wrong they are.

Moreover, the OP thinks an illegal mini motorcycle is an e-bike. No, it's a bag-snatcher vehicle.

I'm fed up with that kind of folk.

But what if the OP IS a bag-snatcher? Usually you steal and use a Yamaha T-Max or a Vespa GTS scooter, but I think a fast ebike would be even better depending on environment! But seriously, just buy something known with quality behind it. I've purchased my fair share of junk. How any miles did the original ebike have before it broke? How did it break? What brand?
