New Battery technology from MIT

Some folks at MIT have developed a new Lithium battery technology that offers twice the energy storage for the same weight, or the same energy for half the weight.

Expect battery technology to advance a lot quicker in next decade as more money is invested in R&D,. With huge demand from electric cars, production costs will fall (Tesla gigafactory) creating more demand resulting in more investment. The plus side is all small users like ebike and power tools benefit increasing demand.
