Hi guys, my friend and I just finished programming, testing and launching a new advanced search tool for EBR that lets users filter through all of the electric bike reviews I've created. You can access it by clicking "Advanced" just below the search box on the homepage at: http://electricbikereview.com/

I value your input, critical feedback and creative ideas and wanted you all to be the first to know about this feature! Thanks for your support and the energy that you share helping newbies who join the forums. Ebikes can be complex both mechanically and electronically and my goal is to help make them more approachable but nothing beats a real life friend sharing their thoughts and that's what you guys do here :)

Great work Court... Don't know how you find the time to do what you do...

Nits:
After performing a search from your Advance Search page, I page back, and end up on the Search Page.. Would be nice if it took me back to the Advance Search page.
And this is a real numbnt nit..lol: Shouldn't it be Advanced Search? I cannot find the grammatical reason, however, it seems that every other search engine uses that phrase.

Search features: I'm sure you've put a lot of thought into the content, for use and simplicity, however, it would be nice to have a dropdown menu to search by Brand, and search by Drive Type (Hub, MidDrive, all in one, etc) to go along with Drive Mode Filter

Honestly don't think the Rating search should be one of your top filters..Most of your review ratings seem to be in the 8.5-10.0 range. Price is #1, but something like top speed or battery size might be of greater interest.. Pure opinion on my part.

Great job!

Great feedback @JoePah, I will fix Advanced (the results page has it right but it was missed on the homepage). I also like the idea of adding drive type and removing rating. It's true that my ratings tend to skew high. In the future it might add value to have a sorting tool to sort the actual results by price, rating etc. but I agree that it might be a limitation as a filter. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts and also to you @JayVee for the time being I've chosen to keep motor watts and battery voltage off because they can be misleading specs... I have included motor torque and watt hours of the battery as I think they are less controversial. Like if you look at the Specialized Turbo which only has a 250 watt motor... which is actually very powerful and fast, I don't want people to miss out on that or the Bosch system which has a 36 volt battery but is extremely powerful. Does that make sense to you guys?

Never a moment to rest, Court ;). Very nice upgrade; the motor size as a ratings value is a complex point. The real issue concerning ratings is that there is no ultimate ebike with which to compare all other ebikes to, so when all primary criteria of performance and quality are met then a bike will get a decent rating. Which it should. With that said, what are the criteria that create an ultimate ebike for you?
