Need to remove wheel to change brake pads?

Can someone recommend a (mechanical) brake disc caliper where the pads can be swapped out from top, without removal of the wheel?

Most calipers need the wheel removed so the pads can drop out below.

This is less trivial for wheels with a hub motor, with many wires to disturb.

I dont there there are an. my magura brakes I could do it all without removing the wheel but thats a oddball.

I can change the pads on my TRP G-Spec Quadiems without removing the wheel. I do need to remove the calipers from the frame though (two bolts).

Yes that is obvious with all disc calipers.

Calipers are not supposed to be "distrubed" after they are installed, albiet only required due to acute frame deformation from long service.

The calipers bolt to an adapter, not directly to the frame. There is no chance of frame deformation. I do have to recenter the calipers on the rotors when I tighten the bolts, but that is just holding the brake lever while I tighten them. This Tektro video (Tektro is the parent company of TRP) instructs you to remove the calipers to bleed the brakes.

Ah, well my situation may be different from other people then. My frame has IS mounts for the brakes and I have to use an adapter for the calipers. The IS mount holes don't even have threads. The bolt passes through the holes and screws into the adapter and the frame and fork are steel. If the adapter deformed, it is easily and cheaply replaceable. I don't see any risk of the frame deforming enough to prevent installation of the brake calipers.
