Hi! I have a Load 60 (up from Charger gen. 1), and I thought its about time I put on my big boy pants and learn how to change brake pads on my own.

The TRP user manual says to use SP10.11 brake pads. I cant find these locally, and im not sure if its a product family or a product in itself. The TRP website gives the following options, it seems:

If brake noise is my primary consern, is it the resin pads I want? Should I use TRP pads, or can I use pads from other brands as well?

Any dos and donts with regards to changing pads?

Thanks in advance!

Edit: typo

man they sure look like shimano pads. the metallic will be the strongest and the loudest. though my shimano 4 piston sintered are pretty quiet. the reisin would wear really fast on our tandem.

SP10.11 are the pads for the older two-piston Auriga brakes that came on the Load prior to MY20.

The stock C2.3 pads are the semi-metallic Q20.11. I wouldn't go with full-metallic pads if noise is your primary concern, but as has been mentioned, resin pads generally wear out faster.
