I hope this finds everyone well. A friend of mine helped me make an ebike battery . battery was working fine until i slipped in a park the other day. i can't get a hold of my friend as he is really busy with family matters but he asked me to do some tests. when i lift the bike and use the throttle. the bike works fine. when i put it on ground and use throttle, on the lcd, i see the lcd shut down. normally this happens when i turn the switch off from the battery. from this point the battery doesnt switch on unless i plug the charger in to it. does anyone have experience with this issue ?

also this is my first post. if youd like me to add something to the post, please d on't hesitate to correct me.

DANGER remember these batteries are very powerful. And shorting can put what may be bad cells into a cascading failure. !!FIRE!! Or Kentucky fried fingers.
There are so many possibilities with a home built battery. That said you'll need to get your multimeter out and get some voltage readings.

Pictures of your build?

Are you using a BMS?

Slipped in a park? Means you fell down and the battery got whacked? Is this a spot welded battery or is it a pressure contact?

Since you helped build it, then you should follow the above video easy enough, I think though, because it powers up, that you broke some series connections on one of the cell groups. Then when you try to run it with the wheels on the ground, the battery cannot sustain the higher current thru that weakened cell group, and it sags in voltage and triggers a BMS shut off.

This will be hard to find. Maybe if you describe the battery better, or wait til your friend is free.
