Need Help Opening Pedego Battery Pack

Hi, Everyone! I'm trying to open my Pedego Stretch battery in order to check the internal charging fuse, which I believe is blown. The screws (if that's what they are and not rivets of some sort) don't have any indentions or slots in the heads, just circles. Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated!

You might get more results if you post this in the Pedego sub forum.

I'm not familiar with that type of fastener either. I'm also not aware of an internal fuse on Pedego batteries. I would check with Pedego tech support before trying to open the case: (800) 646-8604 by phone or https://pedegogo.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=785908 by e-mail

Could be......how often have I puzzled over why a piece of equipment wouldn't start or function only to finally come back around to the on/off switch and find it in the off position.

If it's that simple, you're going to be my ebike repair hero for the day. Sheer genius!

I bought a set of these. Seldom used but invaluable when needed.

It appears you don't need to get inside. Your Pedego manual shows this...

@RoadGoddess Can you describe the problem you're having in better detail?

On my Pedego Interceptor batteries, the fuse mentioned above is a 40 amp motor fuse and has nothing to do with the charging circuit. the switch & fuse control the main battery output terminals. The battery will charge with the switch off and the fuse missing. I can't say for sure if this is the case with the Stretch battery though. By all means, check the switch & fuse. It could be the reason there is no power to the bike but it won't prevent the battery from charging.

The battery can appear to be dead if it is in sleep mode. If there are no lights lit on the battery bar gauge, hold down the push button for 10 seconds to wake it. Connecting the charger for 30 seconds will also bring it out of sleep mode.

Pedego is a dealer warrented brand. If in warrenty, take the bike to the dealer.
If out of warrenty, I would under no circumstances open the battery. These things are dangerous. changing the fuse sounds okay.
