Need advice magura brake on ebike

I'm a bit annoyed with magura tbh, the mt5e has almost everything i want in a brake except.... 1 finger levers, i'm sick to death of having to put levers a third of the way up my bars, it means i can't use matchmakers for my dropper and gear shift, i'm forced to consider other options including retro fitting a brake sensor to other brakes, maybe Hope v4 e4 if they have a 1 finger option.

I use the cut off kinda like a clutch, it keeps the flow going through downshifting whilst entering corners etc so i find it indispensible.
I was definitely surprised with how much bigger the e-stop levers are than the regular ones that came on my MT5e brakes, I've only ridden only them twice so far and I'm still getting used to that. I've had to make some adjustments to the position of my controls because I've been riding with the heel of my thumb taking the brunt of my weight on the handlebars and it's causing some pretty bad pain in that joint.

Ergon grips will help with that.

I've already done that, I swapped the plugs left to right and the issue persisted on the faulty one, so know it's the switch itself and the harness is fine.

I reached out to Starbike and unfortunately they want me to SHIP IT BACK to Germany which is ridiculous probably not worth the cost, not to mention the fact that I will have to uninstall it from my brake lever which is an additional pain. I'm wondering if I can contact Magura directly?
Ouch. When I had my warranty return, the vendor handled it for me and I didn't have to ship anything back. Magura asked for pics and then shipped parts directly to me. My online reseller was a Magura dealer and they handled the entire process (relaying the ask for pics, forwarding them to Magura etc.). Unfortunately it looks like you got a bad vendor.

I would definitely try to contact Magura. What have you got to lose, right?

Also, I use Wolf Tooth Fat Paw and Mega Fat Paw grips, wrapped in silicone tape (not yet in this pic). But like their name implies, you need large hands for them to work. I do not need glove padding and ride with just leather full finger deerskin work gloves.

Yeah that sounds more like an ideal situation lol. I just emailed Magura USA to see if they'll help, I'll also email back Starbike and ask if there can be a resolution without me mailing it back first. Which vendor did you go through?

I have PNW Loam grips on now and I really like them, I am considering getting the thick Loam grips to test those out as well. The bike shop mechanic I asked last week actually suggested that I move my controls out of the way so I can wrap my hands around the bars instead of keeping my thumbs on the shifter/dropper. I was actually gripping the bars incorrectly.

So I contacted Magura USA and they're sending me a new lever! I asked if they can supply individual switches and they said no, which is very unfortunate, because that's the weakest link in the e-stop lever assembly.
