Picked it up, had to chop the seat post, the seller was inly 5'8' and had it that high.
Now Im in a new world of proprietry battery tech and one off data signalling .hey ho...you can buy a copy battery for 200 quid off alibaba fireworks dept

I see that another member posted above that it is a Bosch battery but it looks like my Yamaha battery. Do you know which it is? In the past I couldn't find aftermarket replacement batteries for my BH Gravel X with Yamaha PW-SE motor but now they seem to be widely available including on Amazon for as low as ~$300 to ~$400 USD for a 17ah/612wh battery. A couple years ago I bought a 500wh Yamaha battery for $400 from a bike mechanic selling inventory so I don't need another but the 17ah aftermarket battery sounds interesting, not UL listed but neither is the Yamaha battery.

Its the Yamaha motor and battery, I'd be happy purchasing the cheaper batteries, just open up the case to inspect the build quality.
I'm not buying a 600 quid battery for a 800 quid bike.
The part numbers line up in the description, but it has to talk to the controller I think.
Worse case scenario would be ending up with a spare battery for my bafang drive.
I wouls stick with the 13ah for the reduced weight

The battery and controller definitely have to communicate for it to work. A few years ago I built an Arduino board based on a design posted by somebody on a European pedelecs forum but he shortly revised the design and programming several times and I never trusted to use it. So the Yamaha code has been long since cracked and it appears that working aftermarket batteries are now available. When I bought my overstock Yamaha battery for $400 the going rate was `$1000 for 500wh Yamaha.

Been to see it, its so immaculate he admitted there was a slight crack in the battery voltage test button, which you could only detect with a fingernail.
He has all the original receipts and servicing, spare keys, still in the original wallet.
Rides perfect, though hes fitted 4.8s.
Picking it up Monday.
How many miles on the odometer?
