This is my diy cruise controll. It has:

>on/off button
>activate button
>above all turn off with key
>ajustment via thumb wheel
>best feature is thumb wheel, everyone likes it so much, they use it to ride all the time.
>brakes also disengage cruise.

Built with discrete components, no microproccessor or programming.
As soon as I finish upgrading printer I will make better ebclosure.

Cheers

Very nice. I see you have an on/off button and an activate button. Does the on/off button override the throttle, then the activate button engages the cruise control? That is to say, does the twist throttle get bypassed when using your cruise control? Also, does your cruise control resume when braking is disengaged?

The placement of the wheel is great. Perfect for fine adjustment. What did you use for the wheel? It kind of looks like the cap of a game controller analog stick.

On/off is on/off.
Activate overrides throttle and activates cruise.
Twist throttle is bypassed when using cruise.
Applying brake disengages cruise. Activate button must be pressed to resume.
Thumb wheel placement is great and easy to use. Temporary till i print one, it is thumb wheel from a socket set.
Have added cruise to missus wheels, she loves it.

Edit; Cruise upper limit can be set via 25 turn cermet pot.
