My BBSHD stopped working...

Hi everyone,

I have just joined this forum hoping that someone would be able to help me with my e-bike BBSHD 1000W.

I was using my e-bike for couple days and everything seemed fine. I have purchased a cable so I can programme the bike using a computer, but when I tried to connect it didn't show anything. The pop-up message was coming ' Error opening serial port'.

I have tried to connect back the display with the cable but there was no signs that it was working. I am not sure what is the issue as a motor is not showing any signal now as well, the display is off.

I have tried to check all the cables making sure that pins are ok but still I haven't identified the issue.

Maybe someone has any ideas what could be an issue?

Many thanks,

Tomas

Many thanks for your reply.

As per manufactory specification the battery is 52W but when checking showing 58.4W.

Many thanks for information - I will check now.

Assuming you mean volts, 58 volts is correct for a fully charged 52 volt battery. Confusing I know but the number quoted is the mid-point of the operating range.

48 volt batteries charge to 54 volts or so.

Yes, correct. Sorry for confusion.

I have downloaded the software from the link that you have provided. All a bit confusing though. It's showing the port now but when I click to connect nothing happening.

Could this be an issue with the display or motor failure?
You would at need power to the display to connect. It should still light up.
