Mounting Speed Sensor or Wide Stays?

Anyone have some pictures on how they mounted a Speed Sensor on a Fat Bike with wide Stays. How close does the magnet need to be to the sensor. If I remember correctly,the sensor on my first Ebike, a Rambo bike, the magnet was far away from the sensor.

Most Bafang fatbike motors have the speed sensor built into the motor, but my first kit used a controller with wiring for an external sensor so this is how I did it. It probably needs to be within 1/8" of the magnet.

I run 27.5x3.0 tires, and find that I have to move the speed sensor out of the way when mounting the rear wheel, then adjust it once everything is locked down. The sensor telescopes a little to facilitate getting close enough to the magnet.
