Motor cut-out on Lectric XP

I've been having an issue for about a week now where the motor will cut out for a split second and then resume. This is happening primarily under pedal assist, but I think it's also occurred under throttle as well. When it happens the display stays lit, but it often kicks the display mode from current back to odometer. I have around 120 miles on the odometer now, so this probably started at about 100 miles.

Has anyone else experienced this? I have an open support ticket with Lectric to investigate.

Sounds very much like a short somewhere in the wiring. Recheck and check all connections. Look at the battery mount and connections. Anything happening when it cuts out, like a bump in the road?

A short was my first thought too. I checked the disconnect on the main power cable to the hub motor, but it was tight. Next I'll try disconnecting it and reconnecting it and check the pins. I'm also going to check the battery contacts in the frame to make sure I'm getting good contact. The power cut-outs do not coincide with bumps or rough roads. Thanks for your input.

Sorry, I don't know the bike details, but bad brake cutout switches and speed sensors can be culprits. On the motors I use I can unplug those devices and see if there's any difference. While you're at it add some dielectric grease to the battery connection to the base OR better yet Boeshield or ACF50.

Working with Lectric customer support now. They think it's a bad controller and they're sending me a new one. We'll see what happens...
