I am 74 years old and have been a bike rider a long time and I just recently converted my Trek Hybrid to a Ebike. I have a 36 volt 13 Ah 500 watt Battery which give me about 25 mile range but have been trying to find a 15 AH for more range. I want to keep the same style Dolphin Battery as the brackets would be the same. I can find the 13 AH and smaller. Any help would be appreciated as I have checked about all the distributors.

UPP used to have a good reputation, but I've read that their customer service has gone belly up. I just ordered a little 36V battery from them recently. I got my first battery from their original shop in 2015 and it still works fine

EM3EV always has a good reputation. Website is messed up when I look at it, with price in kroner. Probably around $500USD shipped. Ask them. I'd pick these guys if I wasn't so cheap.

13 to 15 AH isn't all that big a range increase. Not sure if your bike can handle it but higher voltage at same amp hour might give you more range. I'm running a 52V 12AH battery on my Ebike. That is about a 45% increase in WH over a 36V pack.

I am not sure if the controller would handle it. I really don`t care about the speed as it will run an easy 20 and most of the time I am in the low teens. I doubt if they make a 17 AH. I am trying to keep the same case so I can change them out if I get out and run out of power.
This could do the job $389.00 plus it is a 17 AH. This could give me about 40 miles. What do you think?
I understand as I am very careful of returns. If I get something at a reasonable price and use it for a year I usually don`t worry about it. I appreciate your advice.

It really depends on how much extra range you want. Your current battery is actually 468wh’s, 36v x 13ah, and your current range of 25 miles means you are using 18.72 wh’s/mi. Doing the math going to the 17.5ah option mentioned should give you about 8.5 miles more range. If that is all you need then that option should work.
Another option would be to get the same size 13ah battery and carry it with giving you a 50 mile range potential when you are wanting more.

If I could get the 8.5 more I would be very happy. We have a bike trail here in Virginia that is about 32 miles long called the Creeper Trail that was reclaimed from an old railroad bed. It is a beautiful place to ride so those 8.5 would put me in range and the extra battery would bring me back. With my 500 watt hub I was wondering if the controller or hub would stand a increase of a more volt battery such as 48 or 52 volts?

I tried to buy from Dillenger and they told me they do not warranty batteries that did not go with their bikes or kits. I sure would not give $389.00 with no warranty.
