Mission Control vs Strava

Have any of you experienced different mileage for the same ride in Mission Control vs Strava?

It is possible. The MC calculates the distance covered by the rotational speed of the rear-wheel and the wheel circumference. Strava takes GPS readouts. Often, wrong wheel diameter is coded in the Vado system and that makes the discrepancy in reported mileage. I think only the LBS can change the wheel circumference to the proper one. Another thing is how accurate Strava really is.

As you know, I do not have the TCD-W display yet but experience similar discrepancies between the BLOKS display and Endomondo. The coded wheel circumference is wrong in my Vado. (It is coded the way the bike owners cannot change it themselves).

Thx. Maybe that’s it. MC showed 10.88 miles and Strava showed 8.58. I am going to a google map it and see what it comes up with.

Hmm....

Used about 20% of the battery (minimal wind, moderate hills, mostly riding at level 1 with a couple of level 2 boosts on hills, 225# rider).

I'd also suggest you check the wheel diameter in MC. As @Stefan Mikes mentioned, the setting could be wrong. It was on mine. The LBS has to make this change.
