Minimum tire width for Vado rims.

Am prepping to replace my Vado's tires and am wondering what is the recommended tire width range.

As I am riding roads which I have been doing on my road bike with 28's without discomfort, am thinking the standard 47's are overkill and 38's could do the trick . . . if they were not too narrow for the rim.

Thoughts would be helpful.

Rim to tire aspect ratio seems to be progressing towards a wider rim being ok for a narrower tire than previously prescribed.

It would help if you knew the internal width of the rim however to make sure? If it is less than 25mm it should be fine and handle 38’s ok.

Note that the inner width will be more like 23mm which to me has now bearing on the situation

Have scrapped the narrow tire idea. Hit another sharp bump and rattled the battery loosening the connection so that sport and trubo were unavailable. This has happen several times, and always at what seems the worst of time.

So my thinking being that narrower tires, equal higher pressures, equal more jarring incidents. Will be sticking to 47 or better and checking tire pressure closely.
