I like the dual hub motor, step-through design, and low placement of big batteries. I wish they would make one with pedals and chain/belt; but it looks like the bike might be a tad wide for comfortable pedaling.

The history of War Bikes is very interesting. Japan employed 50,000 bicycle troops. The Paratrooper is still around for getting behind lines and moving fast. These electric motorcycles in NZ are being used to defend a small island nation and can afford to be clunky. I made a 35lbs eBike today with an 80K range on the first battery and a low and centered weight distribution.

Okay Vincent. Here is the 2021 Purple (or is it Pino as the ladies correct my color perception) bike I made last week. It has a 60/40 weight distribution favoring the back for lighter handling in front and rear traction. The center of gravity is 9cm above the rear dropout and 8.5cm above the front. It has 80Nm with the torque sensor mid-drive. The weight is 35.38 pounds. Look for ugly wires. I put some of these recent build images on PedalUma.com.
The second bike is a cargo bike a guy who lives on Mt Tam picked up yesterday. It passed his first test of hauling 52lbs of dogfood up the mountain. That is more of a millitary/utility bike. With the first 10.5Ah battery the Surly Big Dummy weighs 55lbs. It is a monster.

Same reason hunters use ebikes for backcountry hunting. It's got potential. Battery capacity, carrying capacity, and other factors that could be optimized for military use could hold promise. The silence and potential speed could be a real benefit for specific situations. On the surface it sounds ridiculous to suggest the use of what is usually only considered a toy as a weapons support system...but...
