Funny I was just looking at this same subject the other day. Found a lot of interesting new ways of locking/securing your bike. The gps enabled ones were the ones that really caught my attention. Not sure how much they are, or where to buy yet, but there are quite a few on you tube if you search for bike locks or bike security. I had my business truck fleet and equipment equipped with gps a few years back. They are quite advanced as I can not only look up exactly where one of my units are, but trace the route/speed/time plus much more. From my experience with thieves, if they want your bike they are going to get it. I think having a gps unit installed so you can go to the police and say "my bike is right there" is perfect. Again, I have not checked out the pricing yet so maybe they will be out to lunch expensive, maybe not... If you will be locking your bike up out of site in public area's often, I think they would be a good idea. Just thought I would put it out there in case anyone wasn't aware of the new security items on the market.
