Magnum Premium LS - How to recharge the headlight?

How do I recharge the headlight? The bike shop told me I could remove the front of the light, but I tried and there is no way anywhere on the light to allow it to come apart, and no charging port either. Since it's seemingly useless, I removed it, but it turned out that it was holding the fender in place, so I had to put it back on. It's fine that the light stopped working because I have another headlight I've strapped to the bike, but it is still very frustrating that there seems to be no way to recharge or fix it. The light is not powered by the battery. And the bike shop I got it from is nearly a 2 hour drive away.
This is otherwise an awesome bike and I am having a great time with it.
